Cosmic Psychos – Go The Hack LP Vinyl Record

Cosmic Psychos – Go The Hack LP Vinyl Record

Fire up the distortion pedal and crack a cold one—Go The Hack is a fuzzed-out slab of raw pub punk chaos from Australia’s loudest cult legends, Cosmic Psychos. Released in 1989, Go The Hack is a full-throttle mission statement from the Victoria-based trio that helped define the no-frills, high-volume pub punk aesthetic.

With roaring riffs, bone-simple lyrics, and a complete disregard for trend or polish, this record is a masterclass in making noise on your own terms. From the thunderous opener “Lost Cause” to the beer-drenched anthem “Pub,” Go The Hack delivers riff after riff of primal Aussie aggression.

Formed in 1982 and renamed Cosmic Psychos in 1984, the band’s signature sound—sludgy garage-punk drenched in wah-wah bass and fuzz—became a surprising influence on the ‘90s Seattle grunge scene, with fans in Mudhoney, Pearl Jam, and more. But the Psychos never chased trends. They sang about tractors, Elle Macpherson, and life at the bar, all with a sneer and a belch. With Go The Hack, they cemented their reputation as Australia’s kings of no-bullshit rock.

If you love The Stooges, Mudhoney, or The Chats, you’ll love Cosmic Psychos’ Go The Hack.
